30 January 2010, 11.30am Blessing of the Animals For the 2009 event we changed the format of this annual event to combine it with our Riverside Walk and Summer Concert Series. The event began with the Pet Blessing at 11:30am - 11:45am in the Amphitheatre, lead by Rev Graham O'Brien - for all creatures great and small, we had a great turn out with animals such as, a turkey, dogs, cats and even a goat or two. The blessing was then followed by a walk at 12.00pm and involved fun activities along the river bank, such as find the sliver bones. The concert commenced at 12.45pm back in the Amphitheatre with live music by Rev. Graham O'Brien & Liz McKay, which was enjoyed by lots of people throughout the afternoon. The date has been set for the 2010 event and we look forward to seeing you all there. |
